Motherless Mothers Group Being a Motherless Daughter presents special challenges when you become a mother. All of a sudden you are responsible for an adorable little person and you feel like you don't even know where to begin. And you can't call your mother for advice...
This 12 week group is just for you. Meet with other Motherless Mothers and learn how not having a mother in your life affects your new life as a mother. Using Hope Edelman's Motherless Mothers Book as a foundation explore the unique challenges of parenting as a Motherless Daughter . What is behind all of that hypervigilance you are feeling? What will it be like for you as your child grows up and needs to separate? What if you are not there to see your child grow up? What gifts do you bring to the situation as a Motherless Daughter? Come meet other mothers who are struggling with these same issues and learn how to cope with these challenges so you can be the mother you were meant to be. Group Meets Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. for 50 minutes. An initial intake is required. E-mail: groundnotecounseling@gmail.com or call 206-227-6294.
