Reclaiming Your Life As A Fatherless Daughter

Fathers play very critical roles in the development of daughters. From the beginning, the role of the father is to assist the daughter in learning to navigate the world outside the family.

They play with their daughters in ways that teach daughters that they can safely take risks and this is invaluable as the daughters grow into adolescence and young adulthood. Daughters who have lost their fathers often struggle with self-esteem issues in the workplace, have difficulty making decisions and often make poor choices in their intimate relationships. Processing the loss of their father and then developing the self-esteem and knowledge necessary to pursue the life they were meant to have is the goal of counseling. Groups are available on Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 7:30 when three or more women are interested and runs for twelve consecutive weeks.  An intake appointment is required.
